The Valley Hive is buzzing with excitement for our Annual Honey Competition & Dessert Contest Fundraiser! This year, The Valley Hive is celebrating 10 years in business, and we hope you will join us for an extra special evening featuring backyard honey from all over Southern California, delicious homemade honey desserts, live entertainment, games, a mead making demonstration, and community fun!
This annual event is a fundraiser and this year funds will be raised for Share The Buzz.
Taste Honey From Local Backyard Beekeepers
A single honeybee will produce about 1/12 of a teaspoon of honey in her life time. It takes honeybees approximately 2 million visits to flowers to make 1 pound of honey. Last year 51 beekeepers submitted their honey to The Valley Hive's annual honey competition, and every honey entry tasted different. Come on by and see how many entries there are this year and find out who has the best tasting honey in 2024. You will even have a chance to taste and see if you agree with the judges.
Ax Throwing
Have you ever wanted to try axe throwing? Well this is your chance. We are excited to have LA AX at the event.
Have a little fun and test your skill as you
support Share The Buzz.
Five throws for $10 or twelve throws for $20.
*Please note, if you would like to participate in axe throwing there are few things that will be required:
- All participants are required to sign liability waiver (participants must be 12 or older, any participant under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian to sign).
- All participants must have a government issued Photo ID, and the ID must have a photo and Date Of Birth listed.
- All participants must wear closed-toe shoes.
- Any person who is deemed unfit to throw axes will be denied service/participation.
