A single honeybee will produce about 1/12 of a teaspoon of honey in her lifetime. It takes honeybees approximately 2 million visits to flowers to make 1 pound of honey. Last year over 40 beekeepers submitted their honey to The Valley Hive's annual honey competition, and every honey entry tasted different. Come on by and see how many entries there are this year and find out who has the best tasting honey in 2025. You will even have a chance to taste and see if you agree with the judges.
If you are a backyard beekeeper and would like to submit your honey, here is the info you need to submit.
Submission Details & Deadlines:
Honey needs to be submitted to The Valley Hive (10538 Topanga Canyon Blvd, Chatsworth, CA 91311) no later than 5pm on Saturday November 8, 2025.
