We are passionate about educating the public about the honeybees and the keepers, scientists, associations, and advocates that love them.
We want to use this passion and knowledge to give back to Military Veterans and First Responders by providing Beekeeping Experiences that can provide a therapeutic outlet and foster a sense of community

By passing on our knowledge and experiences in beekeeping, we want to inspire the next generation to become stewards of the earth through high quality presentations at our location in Chatsworth, California.

Founded in 2014, The Valley Hive has served the Chatsworth and Greater L.A community for nearly a decade, providing everything from local honey to beekeeping equipment as well as hosting classes for those interested in learning the art and science of beekeeping.

Founded in 2014, The Valley Hive has served the Chatsworth and Greater L.A community for nearly a decade, providing everything from local honey to beekeeping equipment as well as hosting classes for those interested in learning the art and science of beekeeping.
But The Valley Hive still wanted to do so much more for local schools and other community groups that may not have the funds for a presentation about bees and the people who keep them.
So Share The Buzz was born; a non profit 501C3 dedicated to ensuring that any student or veteran in Los Angeles who wants to learn about the bees has the opportunity to do so.

We have trained and curated the most knowledgeable and engaging bee ambassadors Los Angeles has to offer.
Many of our instructors are beekeepers themselves. They have worked hives and have first hand knowledge about the wonder of the craft, and are up to date with the latest challenges facing one of the world's most important pollinators.

We also have native bee specialists that can focus on the furry critters that don't make the press as much as the honeybee, but are just as essential to our ecosystem.

A $250 donation will buy protective beekeeping gear for a veteran to wear while doing hive inspections.

$500 will enable a Veteran to enroll in a beginning beekeeping 6-week course. Highlights of this course will provide the basics of maintaining hives, managing bee health, and harvesting honey.
